Largemouth Bass

Baits: Crank baits, spinner baits, soft plastics, topwater baits, spoons, and live baits such as crawfish, shad, minnows, small fish, and the large mouths appetite almost doesn't end! 

Cover: Logs, rock piles, tree tops, docks and piers, grass beds, deep water, shallow water, tree roots and stumps, and drop offs. 

How to catch'em: Fly rod, rod and reel, and nets.

Hint: Look for cover and action, then use the right bait for the right job.

                         

Sac au lait(Crappie)

Bait: shiners, worms, artificial jigs, in-line spinners, and small crank baits

Cover: deep water, underneath piers and docks, tall grass, small drop offs, submerged trees and rock piles.

Ways to catch'em: tight lining, drifting,  still fishing,  and rarely on fly rods.

Hint: A little patience and you can catch a stringer full! Careful not to yank or the hook will rip out of there mouth, hence the name "paper mouth".

Bream

Bait: crickets, worms, flies, small minnows, small crawfish, grass shrimp, small artificial jigs, beetles, and small spinner baits.

Cover: grass, rock piles, tree stumps and roots and submerged trees.

Ways to catch'em: rod and reel, fly rod, cast net, nets.

Hint: Fishin' for these little guys in the winter is s-l-o-w and hard and they run deep.Try again in the spring for better luck.

Catfish

Bait: worms, minnows, craw fish, cut bait, stink bait, soft bait, and will rarely take crank baits and spinner baits.

Cover: hollow logs, rocky areas, deep water, dock edges, shade, shallow water, grassy areas, trees, stumps, rock piles, and muddy bottoms.

Ways to catch'em: trot lines, rod and reel, jugs, traps, spears, nets, and gill nets.

Hint: catfish are bottom feeders and mostly use their sense of scent to find food.
